1. Abstract
In this article the author discusses the human side of Dr. Taguchi’s Robust Engineering (RE) and shares his lessons learned about the success and failure factors for implementing RE in companies. Hints are given for avoiding pitfalls and increasing the success ratio, both in the engineers’ activities and management’s role in RE implementation.
Este mes fui invitado por TOCICO, Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization, para realizar un webinar en vivo para sus miembros sobre la Excelencia 360˚. La invitación surgió a partir de un artículo que escribí el año pasado - el cual usted puede encontrar abajo. En este artículo escribí sobre las ventajas de integrar TOC (Theory of Constraints), Lean Production System, Six Sigma y BMP (Business Management by Processes o Gestión por Procesos). Para quien no conoce, TOCICO es una organización certificadora sin fines de lucro que trabaja globalmente para desarrollar e implementar criterios de certificación, facilitando el intercambio de nuevos conocimientos. La organización está formada por expertos en TOC, además de consultores y académicos de renombre.

Abstract
This article shows how some of the Theory of Constraints (TOC) logical trees, namely the Current Reality Tree (CRT) and the Conflict Resolution Diagram (CRD) can be useful for graphically describing the inventive situation and identifying / selecting the core problem to be tackled via ARIZ or other TRIZ methods, as well as to more easily identify the contradictions involved in the problem.
